John McGinness holds the Principal Bass Trombone chair in the Delaware Symphony Orchestra and the Charlottesville Opera Orchestra and is a member of the Roanoke Symphony Orchestra and the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra.  John performs throughout Virginia and the Mid-Atlantic, appearing regularly with the Wolf Trap Orchestra and has performed as a guest with the orchestras of Richmond, Lancaster, Harrisburg, the Kennedy Center Opera House, and the National Symphony.

Mr. McGinness is an active low brass instructor and clinician in Fairfax County, VA, and serves on the faculty of Washington Adventist University in Tacoma Park, MD. 

A native Texan, John and his family now live in Northern Virginia.
